I have recently purchased one of these great little cameras, having been told by my wife that she was fed up with me taking all my usual camera gear on holiday. This small 10 megapixel camera seems well made, although the controls are rather small and difficult to see. It takes good video, but if you want to record at 30 f.p.s you have to lower the quality to 7 megapixels. Picture quality is superb, and the camera has more features than I will ever use. However, it has one fault- it takes 8 seconds to write to the memory card, regardless of settings. Because of this I bought a high speed SD card but it made no difference, still 8 seconds. Fearing that I had a faulty camera, I returned it to the dealer who tried another L200 camera but, again, it made no difference. My usual Fujifilm camera writes to its XD card in 3 seconds! The dealer said he could not understand why it took so long, it being an up-to-date camera. If this time lag is no problem then buy this camera. It is superb apart from this.
