I am delighted with my purchase of the Samsung WB550 10x zoom with 12.2 mega pixels. I took a lot of time reviewing various cameras, from Amazon to Which Magazine and everything else I could find in between. It seemed to stand out way above all others in a similar price range and criteria/features. My hard work paid off as I am absolutely delighted with it! As someone said above.... it does just what it says on the box! It's brilliant.
Also, personally I don't have a hang-up about printing the manual myself, that way I can print it to the size I want or, save paper and simply view it on my laptop; or just print the pages I'll need most.
If anyone's looking for a good digital camera..... look no further.... get this guy, it's brilliant.

I spent some 3 weeks researching digital cameras and finally decided on this one.It has just about everything one could wish in a camera,very wide angle and sharp lens,dual antishake and so many adjustments prior to or after taking pictures.One of the handy tricks it has got is in one of the settings of selftimer in which you put the camera on the tripod,press the shutter ,go leisurely in front of the camera(no hurry as it won't take a picture while you are moving) and as soon as you stop moving it takes a picture all by itself(no need for a remote control)A very beautiful camera ,no need for a digital SLR with all it's bulk.Very highly recommended!

a good camera with excellent HD video capability. Wanted a small camera with wide angle lense and this fitted the bill. no lens to carry about and for myself as an amateur this is ideal put it in pouch on your belt and you don,t even notice its there. good quality only thing no printed manual otherwise ideal for me.

I used to prefer Canon compacts for general use, but found the Samsung attractive with it's 10x optical zoom and ultra wide lens, 4.2 to 42mm.
I've taken over 100 shots with this compact and about 20 video clips, all perfect in quality and colour.
Best to buy a hardish case for this camera as the lens sticks out a trifle and needs protection from accidental bumps, eBay have several.
No bad points at all, I'm extremely pleased with all its aspects, but don't think I'll use all its scene modes.

The Samsung WB550 is everything it says on the box, produces excellent pictures, do not know about the video yet as I have not tried it.
The downside is that there is no instruction booklet to describe the many features, it must be downloaded from a website.
Had I been aware of this prior to purchase, I would not have bought it.
I have downloaded the booklet and saved it on my laptop. Unfortunately I do not take my laptop out with me to refer to a specific item regarding the camera when I need to, so this has become a bit of a problem.
I understand the need to save the planet and go green, but at least give the buyer the choice and mention it in the advertising.
